If you’re one of those people thinking of buying a property sometime soon in order to cash in on the first home owner’s grant, you’ll be pleased to know that the scheme has been extended, as announced in┬áthe budget last week.

While it’s not going to last forever and the scheme is being phased down, it’s still something that you’ll want to get your hands on if you’re a first home buyer.

I have strong opinions on this type of stimulus. I’d be interested in reading more about correlation between recent foreclosure and those that used their grant as their deposit.

Didn’t the Victorian Government also announce an increase in their Home Buyer’s Grant?

And that would be in addition to the Federal Government’s Grant, right?

Yay!!! Been thinking about this for a while – but seemed to be priced out of the market. It’ll be good to still have that as an option when I finally get the chance to buy my first home.
