It’s easy to think ‘if only I earned more everything would be different.’ However this isn’t necessarily true. Insert Prime Example No. 1: Mr Mark Philippoussis. He earned more than most of us could dream of (around $10 million), yet led a lifestyle that saw it dwindle to nothing.
It poses an interesting question: is earning more the answer to financial independence or is it what you do with what you earn that counts?
In Moneygirl’s article of the week Scott Pape (aka: The Barefoot Investor) on the Herald Sun Online looks at ‘The Poo’s boo-boos’ and suggests that having a high income doesn’t necessarily equal wealth.
