For some, the world of the sharemarket is shrouded in mystery and fear. The finance report on the news sounds like another language so it’s no wonder a lot of people either don’t give a rat’s or think investing in shares is tricky and risky and therefore ‘not for them.’ However, with a bit of basic knowledge and understanding, investing in shares doesn’t have to be difficult and can make strong returns for you over the long term. Plus, as a woman, you already have an advantage – studies have shown that, on average, women make fewer and less frequent investment mistakes than men.
